]> CRG : FELICE TIENE (CRG-PARILLA) ALREADY ON TOP IN SARNO

GOOD NEWS FOR FELICE TIENE IN KF: HE IS ALREADY AMONG THE FASTEST DRIVERS IN QUALIFYING AND IN THE FIRST HEAT DURING THE OPENING RACING DAY. MAX VERSTAPPEN, LEADER IN KZ1, GOT SLOWED DOWN BY AN ENGINE ISSUE. JORRIT PEX AT THE START WITH THE 9th TIME. THONON IS 11th.

Sarno (Salerno - Italy). The weekend didn't begin well for the CRG Official Team, racing in the third round of the WSK Euro Series in Sarno (Italy) on the International Circuit Napoli. The race started on 19th April with qualifying and the first heats.

So far, the only good piece of news is Felice Tiene's result: the Italian driver is with the fastest drivers of the KF category, both in qualifying - thanks to his overall third time, just two tenths of a second behind the leader - and in the Superpole - where he finished seventh. In Saturday's heat Tiene - on CRG-Parilla - managed to remain with the top drivers since the beginning, finishing second in close pursuit of the winner. In few words, the excellent first phase of the race confirmed
Tiene among the favourite drivers, after his victory in the last race of Zuera.

Always in KF, Alex Palou's start wasn't as good: he fell victim of an accident in the first heat of the weekend and then only placed 17th. In the other heat, the Canadian Zachary Claman DeMelo (CRG-Bmb) placed tenth.

On the other hand, bad news from the top category, the KZ1, where the leader of the standings, Max Verstappen, on his CRG-Tm had an engine issue in qualifying.
Verstappen, after dominating the first two rounds of the WSK Euro Series thanks to his four victories in a row, this time had to be content with the tenth time in qualifying, set during the only two laps he managed to remain on track.

Also Jorrit Pex, of CRG Holland, had some troubles with the carburettor and could not do any better than the ninth time. The other CRG drivers follow: Jonathan Thonon (CRG-Maxter) placed immediately behind the two Dutch drivers with the 11th time, Fabian Federer (CRG-Modena) is 18th, Jordon Lennox-Lamb (CRG-Parilla) 19th, Davide Forè (CRG-Maxter) 23rd. Among the private drivers good performance for Lorenzo Camplese on CRG-Parilla, who set the overall fifth time, while Andrea Dalè, always on CRG-Parilla, is 16th.

In KZ2, Riccardo Negro (DR-Tm) set the fastest time preceding Marco Zanchetta (Maranello-Tm), while the best among the CRG drivers was Giovanni Martinez (CRG-Maxter) thanks to his 16th time.

In the Junior category, the KFJ, good performance for the Italian Pietro Mazzola among the private drivers: he races on a LH Racing and achieved the overall 14th time in qualifying.

In the 60 Mini, which assigns the championship title right in this race, the Spanish Eliseo Martinez of the Gamoto Team (CRG/Hero-Lke) set the fourth time in qualifying, while his teammate, Kostantinos, set the overall second time.

Tomorrow, Saturday 20th April, will be the crucial day, with the heats in all the categories and the first KZ1 and KZ2 final.
